She is employed as a University Lecturer in Business and Management, having undertaken a number of educational roles. In the past, Cindy has also worked as a scriptwriter of educational television programmes and as an economic forecaster for a Business Consultancy.
She has particular interests in Education, Health and organisational management issues. As a Surrey Heath Borough Councillor between 2003 and 2007 she represented the Council on the Deepcut Village Association and served on the Standards and Policy & Resources Select Committee. I have lived in Bagshot for over 20 years and am married to Margaret. I have represented the village on Windlesham Parish Council since 1995. and was Chairman of the Parish Council in 2003-4. I was elected to the Borough Council in 2007.
I have worked at professional level in information technology and human resources. I am a Chartered Information Systems Engineer and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. In 2003 I took early retirement from a major bank and joined a local charity as an adviser, working with disabled people across Surrey.
I am a governor of Bagshot Infant School, and was a Public Member of Network Rail from 2002-2007. I have also been Senior Steward at Bagshot Methodist Church and a committee member of Bagshot Playing Fields Association. I am particularly interested in planning, education and transport issues.
At the Borough Council I serve on the Community Scrutiny Committee, the Local Development Framework Working Group and the Theatre and Museum Working Group. I represent the Council at DASH (Disabled Access Surrey Heath).

Gret is a Trustee of Bagshot Care, serving on the Executive and also helping as a volunteer. She is President of Bagshot WI - a position held for 11 years - and is also a Trustee of the Surrey Federation of Women's Institutes (SFWI), serving 172 WIs in the County. Her Federation role is Chairman of the Public Affairs Worldwide and Science (PAWS) Committee. In this role she has been involved in debates and forums related to nuclear power, sustainability of motorways and climate change. Currently she is involved in the campaign 'Women reaching Women' that highlights how climate change is affecting women all around the world.
She is married to John and has one daughter, two grandsons and will soon be agreat grandparent to twin boys, due in July. Gret and John have lived in Bagshot for nearly twenty two years, John being the pastor of the evangelical church from 1987 until 2005. Being the pastor's wife Gret enjoyed pastoral responsibilities in the church and during that time she also was the carer for four members of the family. Latterly Gret has been able to pursue various interests within the community while worshipping with John at St Anne's Church in Bagshot.
Gret is enjoying being a member of various working groups and committees, especially Planning. She has a particular interest in the environment and recycling but in Bagshot is concerned about the traffic movements and especially the speeding through the village and related roads, flooding and drainage,

Duncan Clark
Councillor Duncan Clark who is married to Donna and has two young daughters, lives in Frimley Green.
Duncan works as a Senior Property Manager for a national housing association, specialising in NHS Key Workers' accommodation management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Duncan has been a Borough Councillor since 1999, previously representing Bagshot until 2007. Having moved to Frimley Green, Duncan stood for election in 2007 and was elected as a Borough Councillor for that village.
He is a long standing member of the SHBC Standards Committee and is also a member of the External Partnership Scrutiny Committee.
Duncan is the Group Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group at Surrey Heath. He has also been a Governor of Collingwood College in Camberley since 2001, and a Governor at Sandringham Infants School in Frimley Green since 2007.

Anji Patterson
Anji works at a local primary school as a Special Needs Assistant but also has a business background as a result of the many years she spent in HR Management.
Married to Mick, Anji has two children, Holly and Sam. She has lived in Frimley Green for 15 years and is very well known locally as a result of her work at local schools.
Anji is one of the newer Members of SHBC, having been elected in 2003 but she has very quickly become an important part of the Authority. She serves on the influential Appointments Committee as well as the Joint Staff Consultative Group, Community Select Committee and the Policy & Resources Select Committee.
She is the Chair of Governors at Mytchett Primary School and also serves on the governing body of Kings International School in Camberley. She represents SHBC on the important local charity, Disability Initiative.

Alan Whittart
Alan has lived in Surrey Heath since 1973, moving to Frimley Green in 1978. He is married to Jan and has two grown up daughters and two grandchildren.
Alan was elected to the Frimley Green Ward in 1993 and has represented the Ward ever since. Following his year as Deputy Mayor, Alan was elected into the role as Mayor in May 2008 by his fellow councillors.
For the municipal year, 2009-10 Alan will serve on the Planning Applications Committee and the Leisure & Environment Committee. He will also serve on the following outside bodies, Surrey Heath Arts Council, RELATE: Aldershot, Farnborough & Fleet Marriage Guidance and the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership.
Aside from Council matters, Alan continues to work for Surrey County Council as an Education Welfare Officer in the Surrey Heath Locality and has done so for the past 16 years. Previously he served in the London Fire Brigade for 25 years until an on duty injury caused him to retire prematurely.
As a 'working' Ward Councillor, Alan is always available to assist residents with their Council related concerns.

Michael Drew
Married to Carol, Mike has two adult children. He has lived in Mytchett for thirty two years and has been involved in a number of local campaigns, often involving development issues.
Mike was employed by the National Air Traffic Service (NATS) and was involved in ensuring the safety of aircraft in flight for about 40 years retiring in September 2007.
He thus brings a high level of personal knowledge to issues associated with Farnborough Airfield, the flight path to which is located over part of his Mytchett & Deepcut ward.

David Whitcroft
David was first elected to the Mytchett & Deepcut ward in 1991 and has served on Surrey Heath Council ever since. He also served a four year term, from 1997 to 2001, on Surrey County Council, representing the Frimley Green & Mytchett Division.
David was the Leader of the 7 strong Liberal Democrat Group on the Council for 18 years, resigning the position in favour of Duncan Clark in July 2009. He is a past Chair of the Policy and Resources Select Committee, having served on all the Council's Service Committees prior to the change to 'cabinet' government in 2002. He is currently a member of the Surrey County Council Local Partnership Committee which meets quarterly to discuss Surrey Heath issues as they are impacted by the County Council.
David also represents the Council on the Trustee Board of the Deepcut Village Association and on the Management Committee at Mytchett Community Association. In addition to these activities, David takes a high interest in local Development matters, in affordable housing - having served on the Management Board of Surrey Heath Housing Association for some years - and environmental issues. He takes a particular interest in the development of Farnborough airfield since many of his Mytchett and Deepcut constituents are overflown by aircraft as they approach the airport.
Away from the Council, David is the retired Managing Director of an IT Recruitment Agency based in Farnborough, having previously been involved in marketing for the whole of his professional life, working for major organisations such as Black & Decker and Stanley Tools.
In a private capacity David, is the Chair of Age Concern Surrey Heath and is closely involved in the running of the Senior Citizens's tearoom in Camberley and in the running of the Age Concern Day Centre at Cranmore Court in Mytchett. He also produces a monthly article jointly with Anji Patterson on Council matters for the St Andrews Parish Magazine which is widely distributed throughout Frimley Green & Mytchett.

Fran Bennie
Fran has a son, Malcolm, who is a Crime reporter on the Basildon Echo. Coming originally from Edinburgh, she has many family connections in Scotland and in British Columbia, in Canada.
Fran runs a busy Bed &Breakfast aimed at business users from her home in Youlden Drive in Heatherside. She has taught Bridge to Beginners for the last few years, which has been a most enjoyable experience, and involved her in some overseas travel.
Fran has lived in Camberley since 1974 and has a keen interest in the day to day events of Heatherside. She joined the Liberal Party in 1980 which led to an enduring interest in local Government and Politics. She represented Heatherside from 1993-1999 and was elected again in 2003. She particularly enjoys dealing with the casework which comes from the ward. In addition to her membership of the SHBC Licensing Committee, Fran is also involved in the Citizens Advice Bureau , Voluntary Services Surrey Heath and Disabled Access Surrey Heath .

Judy has lived in West End for nearly thirty years and has taken an active role in Village life for all of that time.
Judy has been a plant pathologist, a lecturer in Plant Sciences and for many years a teacher of Science at Secondary School level. She is now a part-time lecturer in Horticultural Science at Guildford College of Further and Higher Education, Merrist Wood Campus. With this background, she is well qualified to speak on educational issues and has very strong views on environmental matters.
Judy is a Parish Councillor as well as a Member of SHBC. She represents West End Parish Council on the Chobham Common Liaison Group and attends many meetings/conferences with an environmental/rural theme. As a Borough Councillor she sits on the Community Select Committee, the Leisure and Environment Select Committee and is a member of the Local Development Framework working party.
