Fran Bennie called for this protruding recycling bin to be moved

The exit from the Heatherside shops car park has been made safer thanks to requests by local Lib Dem Fran Bennie. One of the large recycling bins which obscured the view of drivers has now been replaced with a smaller bin.

Fran has been leading residents' calls for the bins to be moved or replaced. Fran said "We felt they stuck out too far and made the area dangerous."

"I've been pressing the Council to improve the situation for months, it's still far from perfect but hopefully pedestrians and motorists will now feel a little safer when near this facility."
