Councillor Angi Patterson and Cindy Ferguson examine surveys returned by Frimley Green residents.

Youth Issues

Nearly all residents agree with the Liberal Democrat position on the Youth Centre; that it is under-used and that it should be operated by local people through a committee that includes young people and the youth worker.

Eight out of ten residents are not happy with the current operation of the Youth Centre.

In addition, 9 out of 10 residents think that young people have too little to do and are concerned about this. And they support the Liberal Democrat position on youth issues.

!! Lib Dem Action !!

We will discuss these results with County Youth Officers with a view to getting a local committee re-established and will report back to Residents.

Traffic Management

Eight out of 10 residents agree with the Liberal Democrat position on traffic in Frimley Green with the same number dissatisfied with traffic flows around the village. Another 30% complained about the Gas Company's lengthy disruption to traffic flow through the village.

!! Lib Dem Action !!

We will liaise with County Transport Officers to re-prioritise the Traffic Management Schemes for Frimley Green and communicate with Southern Gas in regard to its disruptive activities locally.

Housing Development

Nine out of 10 agree with the Liberal Democrat position on development in Frimley Green but 6 out of 10 do not want any further development.

!! Lib Dem Action !!

We will continue to liaise with Surrey Heath Borough Council Forward Planning officers in respect of the Local Development Framework (Local Plan) to ensure a minimum of development sites within Frimley Green.
