Police on the Beat

More police needed on the beat

Councillor Duncan Clark, Parliamentary campaigner for Surrey Heath said. "We need a much more visible police presence on our streets. We need to cut red tape and bureaucracy for the police. This would allow them to spend more time out on the beat."

The government wants to spend £8 billion on an ID card and computer system.

Duncan added, "Let's spend the money on more police instead so we can catch more criminals".
