Cllr Anji Patterson and Cllr Duncan Clark are campaigning to keep the small but busy Wharf Road car park free of charge.

Surrey Heath Borough Council has decided to introduce parking charges in some larger village car parks, and will review the position of the remaining free car parks in the Borough in the near future.

Cllr Anji Patterson commented "While there are no plans at present to introduce charges in Wharf Road, Frimley Green and Woodend Road, Deepcut - this could still happen. These car parks are tiny and we do not believe it would make economic sense to install parking payment machines".
