Your money going down the drain!

The Tory-run County Council has decided to use your money to take legal action against the One Star Rating it received for its poor services for vulnerable children and adults.

The Lib Dems want an immediate end to this legal action saying the money spent would be better used on improving services.

The Conservative administration insists they must defend their reputation to avoid future serious problems with staffing. Yet there is already a serious problem with staffing - social work vacancies are almost 25%.

Cindy Ferguson, Lib Dem campaigner said, "This legal action could cost hundreds of thousands of pounds and it is all because the Conservatives don't want to be branded a One Star council in the run up to the County elections in June!"
