Surrey County Council

YOUR COUNCIL TAX IS PAYING FOR 14 SURREY COUNTY OFFICERS SALARIES OF OVER £100,000 PER YEAR.

The Audit Commission has judged Surrey as being one of the worst County Councils in the country - one of only 4% to get this dreadful assessment of one star out of four for its poor standard of services.

Yet, 14 of its Officers are being paid in excess of £100,000 pa. The recently departed Chief Executive was being paid more than the Prime Minister with a gross salary of £199,000.

The Officer responsible for the children's services which were so badly criticised by the Commission has reportedly received a pay increase of 11% taking his salary to nearly £131,000 pa.

Cindy Ferguson, County Council Candidate, says "This shows how out of control the Tory controlled Council is!"
