Road surface in need of repair

Fran Bennie believes that complacent Conservative-run Surrey County Council has been in power far too long.

In particular the Highways department has an especially poor record in Heatherside and Parkside. Problems of particular concern to residents are:

Speeding in residential areas.

Unacceptable levels of parking by Frimley Park Hospital staff and visitors, especially in the Parkside residential area near the hospital.

Huge problems of congestion and access to the hospital, resulting in gridlock most afternoons on surrounding roads.

Shocking road condition of most local roads with large potholes everywhere and worn uneven road surfaces.

Poor maintenance of verges and roundabouts and signs of general neglect, overgrown trees and branches.

Fran Bennie said, "Only by electing more Liberal Democrat County Councillors will there be any improvement in the state of neglected highways."
